Mason Bond is Code Compliant

The International Code Council (ICC) has evaluated MASON BOND masonry adhesive, a patent pending product from ITW TACC, a division of Illinois Tool Works. ICC-ES ESR #1968 verifies MASON BOND is IBC and IRC code compliant. MASON BOND was developed for bonding concrete masonry units and other structural materials.

MASON BOND is the only adhesive to receive an Evaluation Services Report under ICC’s AC362, Acceptance Criteria for Adhesives for Masonry Construction and could significantly change masonry-building practices. Comparative testing at an ICC-accredited laboratory concluded that block walls built with MASON BOND are stronger, more durable and reduce water penetration by more than 80 percent when compared to walls built with mortar. A series of masonry construction projects using MASON BOND were completed in half the time of mortar construction.

MASON BOND is applied from several application systems. The product is also Greenguard Children & Schools Certified, making it helpful in earning LEED green-building credits. MD
