On Jan. 13, 2010, Atlanta-based Perkins+Will announced that it had “joined forces” with Toronto-based Shore Tilbe Irwin & Partners. In a press release, the firm said the combination marks Perkins+Will’s 19th office in North America and second in Canada.
“The Shore Tilbe Irwin merger supports our strategy to grow by targeted acquisition, as it represents a pooling of expertise that will bring significant benefits to our business,” said Phil Harrison, Perkins+Will CEO. “Shore Tilbe’s experience in designing recreational environments will be instrumental in developing a new market sector across Perkins+Will’s expansive global network, while our depth in the corporate, civic, education, healthcare, science and transportation space will open the door to new opportunities for Shore Tilbe’s vast client base.”
