MIA+BSI, the Natural Stone Institute, has released its call for entries for the 2017 Pinnacle Awards. This award is given to MIA+BSI member companies for projects where beauty, creativity, ingenuity and craftsmanship exemplify professional mastery in the use of natural stone for commercial and residential applications. The Grande Pinnacle Award, sponsored by Marmomac, is given to the best project across all categories. The award is bestowed upon the MIA+BSI member company and also includes a trip to Marmomac 2018 in Verona, Italy, for the architect of record for the project.
Who May Enter
Pinnacle Awards are open to all MIA+BSI member companies. Project teams must include at least one MIA+BSI member.
Criteria
Entries will be evaluated in six categories:
- Commercial interior
- Commercial exterior
- Residential interior/exterior
- Renovation/Restoration
- Kitchen of the Year (must include Brazilian stone)
- Bath of the Year (must include Brazilian stone)
Entries will be judged on implementation of the design, quality and craftsmanship of the fabrication and installation, and control and utilization of the natural stone material’s color and character. Projects must have been completed within the past three years. Multiple entries are encouraged.
