Starting in May 2018, MASONRY DESIGN will be published by the Mason Contractors Association of America. Under the MCAA’s direction, MASONRY DESIGN will switch to a quarterly publication aimed at shining a light on the potential of masonry as a building material from a design perspective.
With each issue, we will endeavor to demonstrate the sustainability, creativity, cost-effectiveness, and resiliency of masonry as both a practical and logical choice when it comes to design. Circulating to over 12,000 commercial and residential designers, landscape architects, educational institutions, and students, MASONRY DESIGN has been the cornerstone of the design community for over a decade.
In its new iteration, the magazine will be rebranded and refocused as industry-driven to provide content that’s useful, entertaining, and a resource for our audience. Aligning its content closely with sister publication MASONRY (also published by the MCAA and aimed at mason contractors), this will mark the first time both magazines develop a synergy in their respective content.
Stories that would otherwise be reserved for one magazine will now expand. In MASONRY DESIGN, the architectural and design sides will be examined. The execution of projects will be the focus of MASONRY. This will mark the first time the messaging between the two publications will have a similar focus—that masonry can be used for creative design while being sustainable, cost-effective, incomparably durable and a craft that will provide young people a well-respected lifelong career.
We look forward to collaborating with you on both editorial and advertising opportunities!
