ASTM International’s Committee on Performance of Buildings (E06) has presented its top annual award — the Award of Merit — to Jeffrey L. Erdly, of Masonry Preservation Services, Inc., in Bloomsburg, Pa. The prestigious award, which includes the accompanying title of fellow, is ASTM’s highest recognition for individual contributions to developing standards.

The committee honored Erdly for his exemplary leadership, enthusiasm, and tireless contributions to the success of the committee through the advancement of standards and distribution of technical papers that continue to improve the safety, durability, and sustainability on the environment. Erdly has been a member of ASTM International since 1990, and has previously received the Award of Appreciation (2007) and the E. George Stern Award of Excellence (2015), both from the committee on performance of buildings.

Erdly is CEO of Masonry Preservation Services, Inc., and has served in that capacity since 1985. In addition to ASTM, Erdly is a member of the Association for Preservation Technology, RCI, and the Sealant, Waterproofing, and Restoration Institute.
